Patrick Sims is standout high school, collegiate and professional football player who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Standing 6' 4" tall, Mr. Sims had a successful career in the NFL, highlighted by his strong presence on the field and a commitment to excellence. He played college football at Auburn University, where he earned numerous accolades, including being named a First-team All-SEC player in 2007 and being awarded the Chick-fil-A Bowl MVP the same year.
He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft (77th overall), beginning a professional journey that would see him contribute significantly to the teams he played for. Over his career, Patrick showcased his skills as a formidable interior lineman, accumulating impressive statistics including 294 total tackles, 9.0 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception.
Patrick began his NFL career playing for Cincinnati Bengals from 2008–2012. While playing for the Bengals, Patrick made an immediate impact after being drafted, establishing himself as a reliable player on the defensive line. He re-signed with the team in 2012, further solidifying his role within the organization. From 2013–2014, after leaving the Bengals, Patrick signed with the Raiders, where he continued to demonstrate his talent and dedication to the game, earning respect among teammates and coaches alike. Following his stint with the Raiders, Patrick returned to the Bengals from 2015–2017, contributing to the defensive strategy with his strong play against the run. His leadership and experience became invaluable, particularly during the Bengals' competitive seasons. Although faced with ups and downs, including a brief release in 2017, he remained a key player until the end of his tenure with the team.
After retiring from professional play, Patrick transitioned into coaching, channeling his extensive knowledge of the game into player development.
